The last Club event of 2018 was the Annual General Meeting

Around 50 members turned up to learn who will be running our club in 2019 and hear from the president and treasurer on the state of the club. The club is in a good state financially but facing increasing costs due to the maintenance of an aging building. The membership is stable due to the efforts put into running lessons over the last few years.

Following the election of the officers the members present applauded those who won trophies in 2018. Social bridge then preceded an excellent christmas dinner from Jane Sandelin who managed to do only what woman can - multitask while playing bridge and organising the meal !

Ella Gray is the new president for the coming two years

Those present gave a standing ovation to our hard-working and out-going president, Nigel Gresson.
Nigel's final task as president was the presentation of flowers to Allison Smith as a thank you for her assistance throughout the year at both Tuesday & Friday day bridge sessions

Laura Sommerville and Prue Butler were the  popular winners of the bridge
